Have you ever found that making decisions as a team can be a bit difficult? We hear you! Jobs, where to live, finances, moving, parenting… the amount of major decisions that we have to make in our lives can be overwhelming. So, how can we make decisions well as a team and get on the same page? Join us on today’s video as we talk about how to make those big decisions together and come closer as a couple in the process. It’s all about slowing down and valuing your spouse.
Main points:
[0:21] Don’t move forward with a decision unless you both agree.
[1:35] God is a God of unity and if we are both seeking the Lord, then He is going to speak to both of our hearts to come together where we’re both on the same page.
[2:05] If we’re not unified with our spouse about a decision, then we need to press pause.
[3:15] Listen to where your partner is reluctant.
[3:55] Biblically, there is submission, but this comes with a huge amount of responsibility.
[4:00] Husbands, proceed with extreme caution if your wife is not on board with a decision.
[5:12] God gave you your spouse for a reason…and sometimes they can see what you can’t.
[7:05] You’re going to have a more well-rounded perspective if you value the input of both spouses while making a decision.
[8:17] Pause. Pray on it. Dive deeper before moving forward in a decision.
